Hi! I’m Shannon Allison, a Travel Consultant with Northstar Travel & Associates. I specialize in thoughtfully planned luxury travel for couples and families, including cruises, all-inclusive resorts, destination weddings, honeymoons and Disney vacations.
Before making travel my full-time career, I spent more than 20 years working as a paramedic. It may seem like a completely different world, but at the heart of both careers is something I genuinely love — taking care of people. My years as a paramedic also taught me how valuable our time really is, and I think that's part of why I'm so passionate about helping my clients make the most of theirs.
For me, great travel isn't necessarily about doing more or fitting as much as possible into a trip. It's about finding the right experience for you. That might mean a beautiful resort where everything is taken care of, exploring somewhere you've always wanted to visit, experiencing a new cruise, celebrating a milestone together or finally taking that family vacation you've talked about for years.
I've been fortunate to travel to many of the destinations, resorts and cruise ships that I recommend, and I love being able to bring that firsthand experience into my travel planning. There are so many choices out there, and part of my job is helping you sort through them and figure out what actually fits the way you like to travel.
Disney will always have a special place in my heart. Some of my favourite childhood memories are of driving to Florida with my family and spending time at Walt Disney World. That love of Disney followed me into adulthood and eventually into my career, and today I get to use that knowledge to help other families create their own memories. But Disney is only one part of what I do.
I especially love planning trips that give people a chance to reconnect, recharge and experience something special together. Whether that's a luxury all-inclusive vacation, a honeymoon, a destination wedding, an incredible cruise, a bucket-list adventure or simply a much-needed week away, I want my clients to come home feeling like their time away was truly worth it.
Travel is an investment — not just financially, but in your time. My role is to make the planning easier, help you make confident choices and take care of the details so you can enjoy looking forward to your trip instead of becoming overwhelmed by planning it.
