Christine Yanke Discovers Five-Star Romance at Valentin Imperial

Christine Yanke Discovers Five-Star Romance at Valentin Imperial

After hearing client raves about this adults-only Mayan Riviera resort, I finally experienced it myself for our anniversary. Now I understand why everyone kept talking about it.

When you work as a travel advisor, you hear about certain resorts again and again. The Valentin Imperial in the Mayan Riviera was one of those places for me. Several of my clients had returned absolutely glowing about their stays, and I knew I needed to experience it for myself. So when our anniversary rolled around in 2025, my husband and I booked it. What I found exceeded every expectation.

Walking onto the property, the first thing that struck me was the grounds. Impeccably manicured, every pathway a pleasure to stroll through. If you're someone who loves nature and appreciates attention to detail, this resort delivers in a way that feels almost like walking through a botanical garden that happens to have a world-class beach.

Suites That Feel Like True Retreats

One thing I can now speak personally about is the accommodations. Every room at the Valentin Imperial is a suite, and they are gorgeous. Not just spacious, but thoughtfully designed spaces where you genuinely want to spend time. After long days exploring the grounds or relaxing by the pools, coming back to our suite felt like returning to a private sanctuary. This is the kind of detail that makes a difference when you're celebrating something special, like an anniversary.

The French Restaurant Changed Everything

I consider myself a foodie, and the dining here ticked every box. The morning buffet is excellent, and all of the a la cartes are delicious! However, one of my favs there is the French restaurant. The quality of the food was spectacular, the kind of meal where you slow down and savour every course. When you choose a 5 star resort, you want a 5 star experience. That's the five-star feel I always want for my clients who appreciate exceptional cuisine.

There are three distinct pool areas, which I loved. Some days we wanted quiet, to simply put up our feet and relax without interruption. Other days, we felt social and enjoyed the liveliness of guests who wanted to engage. The resort is definitely not a party place, but there's a wonderful mix of adults of all ages, and you can curate exactly the experience you want. You can immerse yourself in conversation with other couples or cuddle up and spend the entire week in your own little world together.

Why This Resort Stands Out

Having stayed here personally, I now understand something I couldn't have fully grasped otherwise: this resort is truly extraordinary. It checks every box of a top-notch, five-star property. The way you're treated like royalty from the moment you arrive, the beauty of the beach, the quality in every detail. This is exactly why I believe in experiencing destinations myself. When I describe everything about the Valentin Imperial now, there's a passion behind it because I've lived it.

This resort is perfect for any adult who wants that five-star feel in every way. Couples celebrating milestones, travelers who prioritize exceptional food, anyone who wants a beach vacation where relaxation and sophistication meet. If you're a walker who loves exploring beautiful grounds, if you appreciate nature, if you're a foodie who dreams about restaurants as much as beaches, this is your place. Before you book your next adults-only getaway, it's worth knowing your non-negotiables. Do you care most about the beach? The grounds? The dining? Once you know what you want from your week, I can match you with the resort that delivers.

I'm already excited about what's next. In the coming months, I'll be heading to The Fives and Secrets Mirabel in Mexico, plus a Women's Wellness week at the TRS Turquesa in Punta Cana. Stay tuned to those reviews.

But the Valentin Imperial will always hold a special place for me. It's the kind of property I can't wait to share with couples looking for something genuinely extraordinary.
